A 4 (ish) mile multi terrain run to raise funds for Brain Tumour Support. Yes there’s a hill in (It’s in Westbury!) but it’s worth going up for the fantastic views you’ll experience as you run along the top before dropping down and heading back to collect your unique race memento at the finish. Fancy dress is encouraged with claret and blue being the colours of the day. All runners are requested to run in a helmet of choice and there will be a prize for the best one worn. There will be prizes for 1st man and 1st lady and a special prize for the best helmet used to run in on the night as well as finisher spot prizes and a raffle on race bib numbers drawn at prize giving at the end. You have to be present to win on your race bib.
Hilly Helmet 2020 Changed To Virtual Event
In the light of world Covid-19 events the Hilly Helmet Challenge 4th edition has been changed from a mass participation event to one where entrants can still take part and support the charity but while abiding to social distancing rules currently in force in this country. All those taking part will be able to run a course of their choice, to include a hill where possible, while wearing a helmet. There will be no winners prizes but awards going to best helmets in both men and women and for the first time, junior boys and girls will also be able to take part alongside their parents.
Entry fees will be £12 for adults. We’re also offering a family pass for two adults and two juniors for £30. Additional juniors will be £5. We’re working on entries for this and amending the details for the event which will appear in due course at this link: https://www.entrycentral.com/thehillyhelmetchallenge
Wednesday 12th August 2020
This event has been converted to a virtual event please see above.
As per previous years, the charity Brain Tumour Support will benefit from all the money raised from this event and we thank you for your interest and support.
Previous events’ expenses have been covered by generous backers enabling us to pass 100% of your entry fee on to the charity and that is our aim once again this year.
