Carrie Almeida enjoyed her day at Hullavington 10k on Sunday, courtesy of Stampede Sports who donated the entry to our Race Bib Raffle. Carrie picked up the prize after it was returned by the original winner Lorna who found out she was unable to take part. “Lovely race, brilliantly organised, undulating pretty route, cheery marshalls and cake at the end. Big thanks to Hilly Helmet for the opportunity” said a delighted Carrie post event on Sunday. She certainly had the weather for it.
Carrie is the third person to pick up a prize after original winners have found themselves unable to take part with Avon Valley Runner Ken Piper collecting a returned place in the Beyond The Far Side event courtesy of our friends at Crooked Tracks Wiltshire, while Corsham Running Clubs’ David Mackie scored a place in the Devizes 10k at the second attempt and will be there next weekend and thanks to Devizes Running Club for that prize too.
This weekend it’s the turn of lucky winner Paul Marchant from Warminster Running Club who will be taking part in the very pretty Mells Scenic 7, with thanks to Frome Running Club for that contribution. Good Luck Paul, we’ll be rooting for a good day for you!
